One Bedford

Ontario can be very beautiful in this time of year. Spring isn't quite in the air but the sun goes down later every day. You can tell the thaw will come soon. It almost makes you want to get in your car and go on a road trip. Inside the city, things can feel very bleak. The gray skies match the gray side walks. The TTC doesn't seem to be doing any better, but at least there are a few new condos coming online.

Today I'm going to blog about a couple of new projects: One Bedford is a fancy new condo being built near the ROM. So if you like visiting the museum, this could be the place for you. 400 Wellington Street West is another condo that has been in the pipeline for a while, but the juicy details are starting to emerge. It looks to be slightly higher end. It's tucked away just below King West, so it's quiet but still just a short walk away from loads of cool things.

Connect Condos

Toronto Connect Condos

The Connect Condos are a new condo development in Toronto's West end. They're being made by UrbanCorp, the same people who made Towns of Hoggs Hollow and The Tannery Lofts.

The place should be a lot of fun. First of all, you've got Liberty Village. Second, throw in all the amenities like a pool, steam room and games room. I think that UrbanCorp could do pretty good with the new The Connect Condos.

Massive New Toronto Condo News!

Here's some big news on new Toronto condos:

A massive development that will transform a key stretch of Yonge Street in Thornhill has generated a flurry of buyer interest, as subway expansion and other transit improvements better connect the 905 to the downtown core.

Stretching along Yonge’s east side between Steeles and Clark avenues — both proposed stops for a northbound extension of the Yonge subway line — the 10-acre site also benefits from expansions to the VIVA bus system.

The World on Yonge project, slated for completion in 2013, will consist of four residential high-rise towers, an office complex with hotel facilities, a retail centre, and a park and landscaped courtyard. At 20 storeys, the office building will be the tallest in York Region, the developer says.
